Bath and District Advanced Motorists (BADAM)
The Bath and District Advanced Motorists (BADAM) was initially started as a sub group of the Bristol Advanced Motorists in 1981. After two years the branch qualified as a full group by helping the required number of associates to pass their advanced test.
From the beginning, advanced police drivers Andy Poulton and John Ingram, helped train the group’s first observers and formed a committee to advance the cause of Bath Group of advanced drivers, a registered charity (Charity no. 105059) dedicated to raising driving standards through the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Driving Test, engaging with the road-using public, and influencing road safety policy.
Our monthly meetings have been held at various venues around Bath on the second Tuesday of each month and currently they are in the church hall of St John’s in Bathwick. For further details of each event (timings, location, map etc) please see the Events page.
